Fried Broccoli – from Nyara – Maxwell Elementary 5th grade
1 (16 ounce) package frozen broccoli, thawed
1 Tablespoon olive oil
1/2 teaspoon crushed red pepper flakes
1. Rinse and pat dry the broccoli
2. Heat the olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat, add the crushed red pepper flakes and heat 1 minute (toast the red pepper flakes, but don’t burn them!) Add the broccoli, then cook and stir in the skillet until it gets crispy. 5 to 7 minutes. Season with salt to taste and then serve.
