The Integrated Nutrition Education Project at Maxwell Elementary included a “Fruit Jeopardy” quizz that Mrs. Curry gave to her students before they each prepared a tasty fruit pizza snack of English Muffin, cream cheese spread and fruit. For the quizz, students divided into groups, named after fruits.  There was a mango group, a blueberry group, a pomegranate group, and a tomato group . . .

To answer the Fruit Jeopardy questions, the students had to figure out many answers together.  For instance, they talked about the first European to come to the New World.  Here’s a hint — before this person came to the Americas, people in Europe didn’t know about tomatoes or many other New World fruits.
