In November, 2009, CBS News Channel 4 came to Ashley Elementary School in Denver and did a feature about the Eat Your Radio project, including interviews with Ashley student reporters about what they were discovering about healthy eating.

You’ll see students working on nutrition in the classroom, from practicing songs to slicing cheese for a nutrition lesson.  And then, you’ll see  students interviewing each other on the playground, along with KGNU reporters talking about the project, and then the students themselves talking about the project.  Congratulations to Ashley Elementary and the students in Mr. Herd and Ms. Coburn’s classes for doing such a professional job of being journalists and also leaders in healthy nutrition.
